What is Capture a Record?

Who is it for?
Anyone who wants a story, a craft or a decision kept in the words of the person who lived it — a parent or grandparent, a founder, a teacher, yourself. Libraries, museums and universities use the same conversation for oral history.
Do I have to talk, or can I type?
Either. You can answer out loud with a microphone, on camera if you want to, or type your answers instead. The camera is optional and off by default.
Who can see a record?
Nobody, unless you share it. A record has no audience by default, and you can download the written record, the audio and the underlying data at any time.
Where are the recordings kept?
The written record and its data sync to your account. The recordings themselves stay in the browser on the device you made them on — download them if you want a copy elsewhere, because clearing your browser data removes them.
What does a record cost?
