What this is not

  • It is not the interviewer. It never sees whether your answer is true, well judged or well delivered — it reads text.
  • There is no score and no percentage. The useful output is which parts of an answer are missing, not a number pretending to rank you.
  • It knows nothing about the job you are applying for. That is the part a built rehearsal does: it reads your résumé and that job’s requirements, asks about your own work, follows up when you are vague, and quotes you back.

Is the answer check really free?
Yes, and it needs no account. It runs entirely in your browser, so there is no cost per use and nothing to sign up for.
Is my answer sent anywhere?
No. Nothing you type is uploaded, stored or shown to anybody. Close the tab and it is gone.
What does it actually check?
Whether your own part is attributable or everything is “we”, whether the answer is anchored to a specific occasion rather than how you generally work, whether it says what changed as a result, whether the reasoning behind the choice is visible, how long it takes to say aloud, and whether hedging has become a habit. Every point quotes your own words back.
Does it score my answer?
No. There is no score, no grade and no percentage. It reports what is present and what is missing, because a number would imply a judgement it has no way to make.
Can it tell whether my answer is any good?
No. It reads text: it cannot know whether what you said is true, whether it was the right decision, or how an interviewer would react. It reads the shape, which is the part you can fix before the interview.
How is this different from a built rehearsal?
A built rehearsal reads your résumé and a specific job description, asks about your own work by name, presses you when an answer is vague, and gives feedback that quotes you. The answer check knows nothing about you or the job.
